Thou art a right, and holy God,
The judge of all mankind;
A God who in his holy word,
Reveals all men are blind.
Thy word is clean, it’s good and pure,
It shows Thy righteousness;
Thy hate for sin, it won’t endure,
And never shall it bless.
Thy law O God, is Thy command,
Obey and thou shall live;
We work and sweat, at its demand,
But death is all it gives.
Thy Son O God, who kept Thy law,
Thy Son who came from heaven;
Fulfilled all righteousness indeed,
That we might be forgiven.
Thy cross Lord Jesus, does atone,
It bears our awful load;
It makes us with our God at one,
And brings us back to God.
