Your love O Lord, on us poured out,
Surrounding constantly,
Assuring, keeping hearts aflame,
That burn continually.
Your strength O Lord, our best defence,
Our stronghold and our shield;
We need not suffer any loss,
We’ll trust and never yield.
Your word O Lord, our light and guide,
A sure and certain hope;
Your promise that it will abide,
Not left in dark to grope.
Your power O Lord, Thou hast revealed,
A mighty arm laid bare;
For us Thy folk, Thy sword unsheathed,
What foe to touch would dare?
Your cov’nant Lord, it has been signed,
Redemption’s surely ours;
In Jesus’ blood it has been sealed;
Your promise that assures.
