Your Love O Lord!

The way, the truth and the life!
The way, the truth and the life!

Your love O Lord, on us poured out,
Surrounding constantly,
Assuring, keeping hearts aflame,
That burn continually.

Your strength O Lord, our best defence,
Our stronghold and our shield;
We need not suffer any loss,
We’ll trust and never yield.

Your word O Lord, our light and guide,
A sure and certain hope;
Your promise that it will abide,
Not left in dark to grope.

Your power O Lord, Thou hast revealed,
A mighty arm laid bare;
For us Thy folk, Thy sword unsheathed,
What foe to touch would dare?

Your cov’nant Lord, it has been signed,
Redemption’s surely ours;
In Jesus’ blood it has been sealed;
Your promise that assures.

God’s Wrath’s Revealed!

The way, the truth and the life!
The way, the truth and the life!

The wrath of God, revealed from heaven,
God’s clear displeasure’s known;
Against ungodly, wicked men,
That righteousness disown.

There is no God, is what they say,
In foolishness and spite;
They fill their cup, in iniquity,
And sin without respite.

Unthankful, vain, with darkened minds,
They changed the truth for lies;
Despite their conscience that reminds,
Go on, in sinful ways.

They think themselves, to be so wise,
Their cup of sin it fills;
Being filled with all unrighteousness,
And turned themselves to fools.

The wrath of God, revealed from heaven,
God’s clear displeasure’s known;
Against all wickedness of men,
His wrath is clearly shown.

God’s righteousness is also known,
In God’s Anointed One;
Made known in truth to all who own,
God’s one and only Son.

Eternal Light of Grace!

The way, the truth and the life!
The way, the truth and the life!

Eternal light of grace,
O wondrous love of God;
Your smile revealed in Jesus’ face,
That makes our hearts so glad.

O brimless depth of love,
Reflected in Your pain;
Descending to the cross and grave,
Your grace for us to gain.

Jesus, Your sweetness show,
In us Your work fulfil;
Richer and deeper, You to know,
To walk with You, the skill.

O joy that never fails,
Distress or want, can’t quench;
To know Your cross, for us avails,
Your grace our hearts to reach.

Remove our sinful dross,
Our knots, our lumps of pride;
To humbly bow, before Your cross,
And know the love of God.

The Church (3)!

The way, the truth and the life!
The way, the truth and the life!

The history of the church is an ongoing struggle to maintain the truth over against the inventions of evil men. It is the history of progress in the face of opposition, of constant deformation and reformation. The lie is never a form of the truth. It is the sacred calling of every believer to seek and determine, in the light of Holy Scripture, where the line of truth runs, and ever to remain on that line, or to return to it. In other words, it is his most solemn duty, to join himself to the purest manifestation of the church in the world, and with her to remain. This does not mean that the believer who takes this calling seriously imagines that no one is saved outside of the particular church in which he has membership. But it does mean that he abhors all deviations from the truth as it is in Christ, and that he refuses to go along with those that move in the direction of the false church.
